Guided Meditation

Take a few moments to clear yourself from anything around you. Find an area of your home free from distractions and clutter. Let it be a place that feels good to you. Light a candle to bring in the light and if you have a golden citrine stone, place it on your solar plexus or hold it in your hand or pocket. You may want to spray the area with an essential oil spray or light some incense to enhance your space. Maybe you would feel best to be out in nature, somewhere that you enjoy as your personal sanctuary. When you are settled in your spot, take a few moments to breathe. Listen to your breath and allow it to take you deeper and deeper with every breath. Allow yourself to get quiet and bring all the pieces of yourself back to you.

Visualize the people in your life and one by one, ask yourself, Does this person support my highest good? Listen to your body, without judgment or the desire to hold on and have the courage to hear the truth. It does not mean that this person will have to leave your life, but this awareness will change the nature of your relationship. Having the courage to see the truth by letting go of old scripts or attachments will clear the path to a more fulfilled life.

Just for this moment see yourself as a bright sun, without any connections to your family, friends, teachers, or anyone in your life. Clear the energy field around you by releasing your attachments with these people. The ancient Hawaiians referred to these energy attachments as aka cords. Many times we have pieces of each other in our auric field through the different agendas we place on one another. You can always go back and reconnect with the people you love and the ones you want to have in your life, but for the purpose of this exercise it is important that you are clear and can know who you are, without other people around you.

Meditate on releasing any negative cords you may have with another and ask that they be dissolved or sent back to their origin and at the same time call back any pieces of yourself that you have given to another. Remember, to ask your guides or angels to help you release these cords. When you feel you have completed this part of the exercise, clear yourself by using the golden rays of the sun to enter your body from the crown, moving into your solar plexus, and all the way down your body, clearing out your entire auric field. When you are complete, relax and receive the warmth of the sun on your body.

This exercise may take some time clearing all the people out of your life who have attached to you energetically. It is a process that works best over time, or every day in your meditation, continuing to release the people who no longer nurture your highest self. Some of them may have very strong energy cords. If so, find the inner strength to release them. At the same time, make sure you have identified the pattern of these energetic attachments so that you do not have to bring them back to you again as there was some part of you that asked for this relationship to manifest. Remember to send each of these relationships off with love; you do not want to have any repercussions come back at you. Be with yourself and feel the lightness of your being without all of these cords. Give thanks for your willingness to clear yourself.

Awareness of your Surroundings
Begin to notice how you feel around people. If you start your day in a good mood, notice what happens around you that changes this feeling. For example, if you were feeling in a good mood before your meeting with George, you may want to go back to that meeting, in your mind's eye, and pay attention to what happened. Did George get upset? Did he dump some of his anger or irritations on you? Are you empathetic and have a tendency to want to help people? Feel if your bad mood was something you picked up from George. If it is, release it from you. Simply go inside yourself for a few moments, see where you are holding it in your body, and release it.

You can release blockages in your body by focusing on that area and visualize bringing in some light to energize the darkness and move it out of your body. As you learn to listen to your body you will know which way the blockage wants to move out. Oftentimes it will go out through your hands or feet. If this is something that happens on a regular basis, you may need to say something to that person so that you are no longer a target. Perhaps suddenly you feel angry, or just not right in that person's presence. You know it is not your anger or irritation because you felt great before you talked to each other. Instead of sitting and listening to someone in a bad mood, say that you cannot listen right now but would be happy to talk later when s/he is feeling more reasonable. If this doesn't work maybe you need to disregard him or her. If this still does not work, you may need to break this pattern or heal your own anger.

If you know it is not your anger, by checking in with your gut, notice if this person is in your life for a purpose. If the person is a working colleague, will this motivate you to change jobs? Perhaps you are not doing the work you are supposed to be accomplishing and he is only in your life to irritate you enough to leave! Is s/he the grain of sand that will turn you into a pearl?

Each of us has a strong will center to facilitate the necessary change our soul asks us to make. We always have a choice as to which direction we want our lives to go. If we are tired of doing the same old thing, keeping unhealthy patterns alive, then we need to support our highest good by reaching inside and polishing our inner jewel of courage to pull us forward. Once we decide that we want to be living without drama, following our soul's calling, we will release the struggle and go with the natural flow of the universe, realizing that we are not in control but rather a vehicle of service or messenger of truth. Let us free ourselves by releasing our attachments. It is our divine right to follow our higher purpose of realizing our soul's calling.
